"How much will delivery from China cost?" is the first question almost every customer asks. There is no single figure: the price depends on weight, volume, shipping method and product category. In this article we break down what makes up the cost, show calculation examples and explain how to find out the price for your parcel quickly.
What the cost is made of
The final price of delivery from China to Uzbekistan is formed from several components:
- Weight and volume. The carrier charges by the greater of two figures — actual weight or volumetric weight (calculated from dimensions). Light but bulky parcels are charged by volume.
- Shipping method. Air is fast and more expensive, road balances price and time, sea is cheapest for large batches. Read more about the sea option in «Sea delivery from China».
- Product category. Electronics, textiles, appliances and fragile goods may be rated differently.
- Customs payments. When the duty-free limit is exceeded, duty and VAT are added — see «Customs duties of Uzbekistan».
- Extra services. Packaging, insurance, consolidation of several orders at the warehouse in China.
What volumetric weight is
Volumetric weight is a way to account for the dimensions of light but bulky cargo. It is calculated as "length × width × height (in cm) ÷ a coefficient". If volumetric weight exceeds actual weight, payment is based on it. So for jackets, toys or lamps the price may be higher than the scale suggests.
Shipping methods and their price
- Air delivery. Term — 7 to 15 days. The most expensive per kilogram, but worth it for urgent and compact orders.
- Road delivery. Term — 15 to 25 days. Optimal for medium batches when price and speed both matter.
- Sea delivery. Term — 35 to 55 days. The lowest price per kilogram; beneficial for large batches and oversized cargo — see «Delivery of oversized cargo».
Calculation examples
For clarity, here is the approximate logic (see the calculator for exact rates):
- Small parcel 2–5 kg, air. Charged by actual weight, up to two weeks — suitable for gadgets, accessories, spare parts.
- Medium batch 30–50 kg, road. Usually charged by actual weight; good for clothing and household goods.
- Large batch from 200 kg or 1 m³, sea. Charged by volume, maximum savings per kilogram — the choice for wholesale.
Season matters too: ahead of major sales and at year-end demand for shipping rises, which affects the price.
How to calculate the cost online
The fastest way to find out the price is the online calculator. Enter weight, dimensions and destination — the system shows an estimated cost and term. For non-standard or large batches it is better to confirm with a manager: they will account for product category, packaging and current route load.
Base conditions by product group are on the «Tariffs» page, and general route conditions are on the «Delivery from China» page.
How to save on delivery
- Consolidate orders. Several purchases combined into one shipment cost less than each separately.
- Match the method to the deadline. If the order is not urgent, road or sea is much cheaper than air.
- Watch the volumetric weight. Ask the seller not to use excessive packaging.
- Plan ahead. Outside peak season rates are lower.
In brief
The cost of delivery from China depends on weight, volume, shipping method and customs. Air is fast and expensive, road is a balance, sea is economical at volume. To find out the exact price of your parcel, calculate the delivery or contact a manager.
